The Company has 2,651 megawatts of installed generation capacity. It is comprised of 10 operating hydroelectric plants along the Tiete, Pardo, and Grande Rivers in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The Company’s generation plants have an installed capacity of 2,651 megawatts. Formerly known as Geracao de Energia Eletrica Tiete, AES Tiete was acquired by AES Corporation in October 1999. The Company operates contracts to sell electricity to major electricity distribution companies, including Electropaulo, which is also controlled by AES and its consortium partners.
